Gugu became famous for playing Tish Jones in the show on BBC. The character was twin sister of a character known as Martha Jones. Gugu had a destiny to make an acting career after the audience fell in love with her cheerful spontaneity. Gugu also appeared in various British stage and TV productions. After 10 years of fighting breast cancer, Handler passed away in the year 1989. Handler was educated in Reform Judaism by her father, who was Jewish. Handler had a pleasant good, healthy and safe childhood living in a safe neighborhood. Handler was 19 when she made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles and pursue acting. In order to support herself, Handler began to work as an actress. However, when she was age 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time, as she was able to discover her storytelling talents. The beginning of her career Handler started out her profession as part of the Oxygen network all-female cast for a hidden camera/practical joke reality TV series Girls Behaving Poorly. This reality TV show was on from 2002 to 2005. The handler began to appear on various other programs, including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was a part of The Tonight Show for a time as a reporter. Handler was given her first major break in the form of hosting her own E! Show in 2006. It was called The Chelsea Handler Series. The Chelsea Handler Show lasted two years. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following year across the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up show. In 2010, it was announced that she would be hosting the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. She became only the second woman ever to host the VMAs, after Roseanne Bar.
