Julianne Moore

Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne is an Hollywood actress, author and bestseller novelist. Her talents have won her recognition across the world. She's a Sagittarius born on December 3, 1960, in North Carolina. She's the oldest of three children, and was the daughter of Peter Moore Smith who was a paratrooper. The mother of her child Anne is a psychotherapist. Her heritage is English-Scottish. Moore struggled as her family was constantly shifting due to her father's employment. Moore started acting in play after she relocated with her family members to Germany. In 1983 she received an Master of Fine Arts from Boston University. in Theater. Moore made the move into New York after graduating and began her career with off-broadway stage. She made an appearance on the screen in The Edge of Night. She played the dual role of Sabrina Hughes and Frannie Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her breakthrough. The show ran until 1988 and won the Daytime Emmy Award. In 1990 she began her film debut with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that she later described as a terrible low-budget film. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her first film. The latter production, for which she won several awards and critical acclaim. Moore received her first film role as a lead in Safe (1996). The casting of Steven Spielberg's Moore in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of the top grossing films of 1997, represented a huge turning point for Moore's career. She starred in Magnolia (1999), which was praised by critics and was awarded a SAG nomination for her part. The Hours starred Moore in 2002 and was nominated by Nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore has also been seen in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) and many others. Non-Stop was a film in which where she was a part of the cast in 2014, was released. Moore has appeared in numerous movies and television shows. Most recently, she was in leading roles is in 2022, After You Finish Securing the World. In Hollywood, she has also made herself a writer for children. Her first novel was published Freckleface Strawberry (2007) and was a N.Y.T. bestseller. adaptation into an animated TV show and musical. Moore also wrote her memoir My Mom is a foreigner in the year 2013. A well-respected author and actress, Moore's personal life and experiences are public. She was married to John Robin from 1984 until 1995. Bart Freundlich, whom Moore was later married in 2003 has two children with her.
